How to configure so that markdown files are indexed?

Question

I don't seem to find the setting so that the indexing of text files would include markdown files with ending .md

Or is there a special setting just for markdown content?

I await enlightenment.

To index text files that aren't automatically included add them to 'Specific files':

*.md

If you had multiple file extensions to add use a semi-colon to separate them, e.g.

*.md;*.other;*.xyz
