How can the search tab label be changed?

In the previous version(s), the search tab label showed the search criteria; now it shows the search location(s). Is there a way to change what the tab label, in a tabbed search, shows?

The algorithm for the search tab text hasn't changed but you might find that it now only changes once you leave the field, which was introduced to reduce flicker.

Perhaps add this option in the future improvements list: global option for search tab text.
It would be helpful when searching the same location(s), but varying the search criteria between tabs; e.g., "*.pdf" in one tab and "*.doc:sample" in another tab.
