I have a number of files that, even though have a .xls extension, are actually a "CSV" variation (different column separators, depending on which program generated it). Every time the indexing of those fails with a message about file format not being supported.

Is there a way to make File Locator Pro, in a scenario like this, fall back to index the files as plain text?

Thank you.

It's an interesting issue. Falling back to raw data if conversion fails was the original mode of the program but resulted in a lot of binary data being indexed which created unusable indexes. However, the next major version can exclude binary files much more effectively so might be an option to add back in. I've added it to the requested feature list.
