LIKE boolean query behaves differently with index searches

Question

In the past I've used LIKE "abc xyz" queries to search strings in Index mode, however this no longer works. The query produces hits on exact matches only, not variations.

The LIKE query with strings does still works in Expert and Basic modes, but not Index mode.

I have re-set the program settings, installed latest update, re-indexed the library and changed the LIKE sensitivity- no effect. It seems the LIKE "abc xyz" query no longer works in Index mode.

Any help would be appreciated.

LIKE queries do behave differently with index and non-index searches. Due to the way indexes work a LIKE query on an index search can only be applied to individual terms and not across phrases.

Non-index searches do not have this limitation, LIKE queries can work across phrases.
