Yes you can open the files from the client computer but only if the client computer has the access to the original file. For example, if a search produced 1 result:
For the client to open or view that file they must have access to that same path and file, ie. they would need the same drive mapping as the computer that created the index. The common mistake is to index on the server using the physical drive, which the clients don't have access to. Therefore even if you are indexing on the server use drive mappings during the index process so that clients can match the location of the files.
Following the execution of an operation on a file if FileLocator Pro is unable to locate the file it may remove it from the file list.
