Normally, the index has a status of Finished after I update it.
But sometimes, the index has status of "update required, the index does not match ..." after my update.

Any clue on what shall I do?
(I leave it there, and after a while, it is back to normal on another update.)

I couldn't quite tell from the question, does it 'fix itself' if you close the Index Manager and re-open or does it require another update to 'fix'?

Please close the Index Manager and re-open it. If the problem still appears please click the menu option Help->Generate Error Report, and enter a small description of the issue.
