I'm trying to update a large index and keep getting errors, similar but slightly different errors? Any suggestions other than to delete the index and create a new one?

The information on that message box can be copied with Ctrl+C while the message box is open. However, you don't even mention which product you were using, but my guess is FileLocator Pro because of the indexing feature. If you want a developer to fix stuff, please read this (https://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html) and heed the advice in it. It _really_ helps us developers. (However, here I am also merely a customer ;) ...)

It looks like the index is probably corrupt. Please try re-creating the index, rather that just updating.
