Results has encoding problems

Question

Hi, I'm searching through log files (.txt, UTF-8) and get the hits as expected. However; the results panel (and exports) shows characters with wrong encoding:

In my log files I have this for instance: Sjö, Åkerlund

In the results panel I see this instead: Sjö, Åkerlund

Have tried changing fonts and scripts and elaborated with the character processing settings. No luck.

If the files have a UTF-8 BOM (3 bytes at the start of the file) then they should display just fine.

I assume you're using Agent Ransack because FileLocator Pro will detect files that don't have a BOM or you can specify that if no encoding is detected then it should default to UTF-8. Agent Ransack will get this auto-detect feature in the next major release.
