Can you expand the regular expression character range beyond carriage returns?

Or, if there is a carriage return 5 characters after "wilderness", does the search not consider the the next 15 characters that follow? Can it be configured to "see past" carriage returns that precede or follow the search term, yet are within the span of analysis?

Version 8 of FileLocator Pro has a new expression type of Multi-line RegEx for regular expression searching that spans multiple lines:

Normal regular expression searching matches each line independently so won't match a regular expression that spans multiple lines.
