Alt+N short-cut not working to put focus on file name field

Question

I noticed that after I run a query, the “Alt-N” keyboard shortcut fails to work. I hear the system bell. Instead, it should be focusing the File Name field.

If a file is found focus is automatically shifted to the file list. If you hit Ctrl+T focus will shift back to the search criteria where you can then do a Alt+N.
