I have multiple folder-music albums with songs. I am trying to locate all of these folders and move them to my new external at once. I have not had any luck doing so. File locator finds & list single .mp3's instead of the mp3 directory. Here is a screenshot:

You can't do it in a single step but you can produce a list of the folders by exporting the results using a custom format. Save the following formatting XSLT to a file:

unique_folders.xsl

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<!-- List unique folders found in a search
	Copyright (C) Mythicsoft Ltd 2015. All rights reserved.
-->

<xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"
	xmlns:rslt="http://www.mythicsoft.com/FileLocator_16Aug2005" version="1.0">

 <xsl:output method="text" indent="yes"/>
 <xsl:key name="path-match" match="rslt:file" use="rslt:path" />

 <xsl:template match="/">
	<xsl:apply-templates select="//rslt:file"/>
 </xsl:template>

 <xsl:template match="rslt:file">
	<xsl:if test="generate-id() = generate-id(key('path-match', rslt:path))">
 <xsl:value-of select="rslt:path"/>
 <xsl:text>
</xsl:text>
	</xsl:if>
 </xsl:template>

</xsl:stylesheet>

Then export the results using that format, e.g.

Export with custom format

which should produce something like this:

H:\Britney Spears - Blackout (Bonus Track Version)
H:\Britney Spears - Britney Jean (Album 2013)
